DOROTHY BUSH
I began my Postal Career as a Distribution Clerk in Springfield, MA in 1984. In 1991, I was promoted to Supervisor, Distribution Operations and in 2000, Financial Systems Coordinator. I held positions in Manchester NH such as Revenue Assurance Analyst in 2001 and promoted to Manager, Time & Attendance Collection System (TACS) in 2001. I held positions in Windsor CT at the Northeast Area Office as a Professional Specialist Trainee – Budget (Area), Budget/Financial Analyst (Area) from 2005 - 2010. I relocated to Greensboro, NC in June of 2010 and held the position of Manager, Budget and Financial Analysis until June 2011 when I assumed the position of Manager, Labor Relations.
My temporary detail assignments includes positions such as Ad Hoc Counselor/Investigator in EEO, and Manager EEO while in Springfield, MA and was detailed as Supervisor, Postal Source Data Site (PSDS) Operations, and Financial Services Coordinator in Springfield, MA. I was also detailed to the position of District Finance Manager in Buffalo, NY. I worked on special projects such as TACS Ambassador and Coordinator throughout the Northeast and on a Finance Transition Team converting a non-postal payroll system from Emery to a postal payroll system at the former Priority Mail Processing Center (PMPC) in Springfield MA. Previously, I served on the Pioneer Valley Postal Federal Credit Union as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee and served on the Board of Directors for the Carolina Postal Credit Union in Charlotte, NC.
My educational pursuits include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from American International College in Springfield MA in May 1992, and an MBA from Western New England College in Springfield MA in October 1994. I received a Certificate in Management from Smith College in Northampton, MA in July 1995 and was a graduate of the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) in November 2004. I was trained as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in August 2010.
I was detailed to the position of District Finance Manager for the Greensboro District in July 2012 and later promoted to the position in November 2012, which I currently hold.
