MANAGER, POST OFFICE OPERATIONS
SCOTT CHEESMAN
Mr. Cheesman started his Postal career in 1985 as a clerk in Galesburg, Illinois. As a craft employee, Mr. Cheesman assumed the rolls as a Distribution Clerk, Mail Processing Clerk and City Letter Carrier. Mr. Cheesman was promoted to a Customer Service Supervisor position in 1995. He was promoted to the position of Postmaster in Galva, Illinois in June of 1998. Mr. Cheesman was promoted to the position of Manager, Customer Services in Springfield, Illinois in 2002. During his tenure in Springfield, Illinois, he served at various times in the roll of Officer in Charge of Springfield, Illinois Post Office. Mr. Cheesman was promoted to the position of Manager, Post Office Operations, Piedmont Cluster in December of 2012. Prior to joining the Mid-Carolinas Team, he served in various details while working in the Central Illinois and Gateway Districts. Mr. Cheesman served on several city delivery improvement teams throughout his managerial career and many of the processes developed on those teams are still used today in delivery units throughout the United States Postal Service.
Mr. Cheesman is married to Denise and they have three children; Jordan 18, Bailey 16 and Andrew 8. Mr. Cheesman is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. When Mr. Cheesman is not working for the Postal Service, he enjoys golfing, coaching his son’s sports teams and spending time with his family.
